This page used to pretty much tell me how to set up a new machine (all my programs, etc.), but it's almost entirely useless to me now that I use linux on the desktop.

My process is now:

  • fire up new machine
  • get dropbox
  • apt-get as needed.
  • (soon I need to integrate my buddy Kanno's process of using github to store his dotfiles.)

 

I'm keeping this here for posterity, because this is really how I used to work and it now makes me laugh.
